Bio/Description

My lab focuses on profiling the cell fate map for mammalian embryogenesis using a CRISPR based cell lineage tracing technology and single cell RNA-seq. Cell fate maps show how one cell type, like a stem cell, turns into a different cell type, like a neuron or a muscle cell. Once we have a fate map in hand, we can find the rules that dictate changes in cell type. My training is in computational biology and molecular biology with a focus on mammalian development. I am an assistant professor in the Molecular Biology Department and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics.

Research Interests:  Genomics, mammalian Development, computational biology
