Greetings from Mathey College, your home away from home at Princeton University!
As Head, I provide faculty presence and guidance in Mathey, modeling integration of the personal and intellectual. I split time between my offices in Mathey and Psychology, where I teach graduate and undergraduate classes, and truly hope that you stop by either one. You will also meet my husband, Joseph Barnes, and son, Marshall (who is 12), around the College or at events hosted in our home just across the street. Every first-year student is invited to our home for dinner during the Fall semester.
The residence halls you will be moving into first welcomed students over 100 years ago and combined to form Mathey College in 1983. Our community consists of first-years through seniors of every religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and economic circumstance who come together under BOWLD, shared values.
Our supportive environment strives to afford a sense of belonging to every student.
We take ownership of our community by engaging with and looking out for each other.
Mental and physical well-being are essential for our community flourishing.
Learning does not begin or end in the classroom; it occurs everywhere.
Diversity of backgrounds, experiences and passions add to our rich, dynamic community.
The Mathey team and I are excited to contribute to your transition to Princeton with warmth, fun and support.
See you soon,
Stacey Sinclair
